Jon Astral was born 1982, early November, Lancashire, early morning and he was a long time coming. Still, once out, he soon made up for lost time.
The music seeped through from very early days, rocked off to sleep at thirty-three and a third; "these dreams of you...but hush-a-bye, hush-a-bye". Strapped, at the age of three, captive, in the back of the Vauxhall Chevette; Dylan, Morrison and Tamla Motown tapes. Infusing all the way.
As the old man says, "Yesterday I saw a subliminal advertising executive...but just for a second" and its all subliminal in its own way, adding up and layering, listening and learning. From Doctor John to Doctor Glam.
Early days at the piano in the back room, and all the music that went in, it started to come out. Electric keyboards, computers and songs and the audacity of guitars followed. Then came the lyrics and melodies and something to say and a way of saying it.
The rest they always say is history, history in the making, the way we are, the here and now, and the future beckoning.
One thing's for sure, the sun hasn’t set on this boy yet.
